More than a station
A place where learning has roots.
Camaquiri protects lowland rainforest along the El Zota River in northeastern Costa Rica. Its trail system, cabins, lecture space, and local team make immersive academic programs possible without separating education from the ecosystem being studied.
Camaquiri is the result of a collective conservation effort. Tayra works alongside the initiative as an educational and operational partner, helping connect academic programs with the field site while respecting Camaquiri’s independent identity and shared leadership.
